An online community that shares traditional recipes and family stories through social media, highlighting the deep connection between food, culture, and community identity. This project, part of Matera 2019, European Capital of Culture, was curated by IdLab and co-produced with Casa Netural.

Participants organised lunches or dinners to share the stories behind their most cherished recipes, documenting the experience through photos and videos on social media. The Mammamiaaa social media strategy centred on user-generated content and community reposts, creating a vibrant, collaborative archive made by and for the community itself.
To foster community engagement and promote food culture as a tool for social connection, Mammamiaaa organised three key events in Matera. These events not only strengthened participants' sense of belonging but also emphasised the cultural significance of food as a medium for storytelling and shared identity.
